Is Lebron James really going to be the next Michael Jordan?
by Shawn Kauffman
Lebron James from the high school of St. Vincent's St. Mary's, at the age of 17, 6'8'' tall, and 240 pounds, has NBA recruiters going to his high school games. They even had one of his games on national television airing on ESPN2 with commenters Bill Walton and Dick Vitale. St. V-M won that game against Oak Hill Academy of Virginia, the No. 1 ranked high school team in the country, 65-45. Lebron scored 31 points, and 13 rebounds. Over 11,523 people watched Lebron James that night.
Lebron even has some NBA player's cell phone number including Michael Jordan's and Antoine Walker's.
And all of this stuff happening to a 17 year old teenager?
The media is saying that he is going to go from high school staight to the National Basketball Association (NBA). There are many players in the NBA that has skipped college. Some of these players are: Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett, Kwame Brown, and even NBA Hall Of Famer Moses Malone.
Lebron and his mother Gloria are very close. She goes to Lebron's games wearing a St. V-M jersey saying: Lebron's Mom. Both of his natural parents have done jail time. And his surrogate father, who now hangs with his mom, once served 27 months for drug trafficking. Lebron lives in a two-bedroom Akron apartment. "Got like 50 pictures of MJ on my wall, that's all you need to know about me," James says. "Got Iverson, McGrady, Magic and Kobe on there, too. And myself. I'm on my wall."
His home games are on pay-per-view for $7.95 a pop in 14 Ohio counties.
Lebron still has many things to do
He needs to pick a sneaker company, insure his body for at least 5 mil and cross his fingers that the judge goes easy on his surrogate father. He needs to find a parking space for his Explorer, keep his mother off the refs, and avoid the Internet.
St. Vincent-St. Mary makes Lebron and other teammates cover up their tattoos with large arm patches, which shows the kid follows orders. James’ coach also makes him do push-ups whenever he curses.
Lebron James is expected to go first in The NBA Draft next spring.
~So, everyone stay tuned to Lebron James!~
